Department of social science was established in 1999(the forerunner
was the department of social science teaching).
It has 20full-time teachers, Including 2 professor, 6 associate professors
(40 percent of the total full-time teachers), 7graduates(including
in-service graduates), 11 undergraduates and 30 part-time teachers ( including 2 part-time professor). It has 6
staff rooms of Marxism theory and ideological ethic, social relation and management of
pubic affairs﹑law﹑art﹑teaching of psychological health.
Two majors: network information and modern Secretarial Studies﹑network information and community
management. Students in four grades have been already
registered until now. At present, the total number of full-time
students in our department reaches 224;The course of Marxism
philosophical theory, Conspectus of Dengxiaoping’ s theory﹑Conspectus of
Maozedong’ s theory﹑Position and policy﹑and so on are
open to the whole academy. Subjects of literate humanores of application writing﹑PR
principles, College Chinese, Contemporary China and World,
World political economy and international relation of contemporary,
history of westward philosophy, aesthetics history as elective
courses are given, meanwhile taking on the assignments of of
students’ psychological health education; Amateur subjects
and lectures of literate humanism are developed actively, to
cooperate campus cultural construction and education of students’ humanistic quality. The number of teachers has been rising, and we have participated in nine items of teaching reform, compiled 9 textbooks while encouraging and supporting teachers’ study and research. And more than 100 provincial papers have been published even since our department was established. We have won the prize of achievement of young teachers, excellent education on students and outstanding teachers for 6 times. In the spirit of solidarity ﹑exploitation and innovation﹑practice and reality , the staff strengthen itself construction and teaching work, doing much better for teaching work under the leading of the academy.
